How AWESOME are the Blessing's of God!

So many of your may be wondering who the new beautiful young lady is in my profile picture, others of you may know about this huge blessing that God has given put into my life, but are wondering when in the world I am going to tell you about her.

I have been getting to know her for the last several months here at Liberty realizing what an amazing girl she is.  She is very outgoing and as you know, I am a little more relaxed so we compliment each other very well.  By coincidence her family lives two streets away from my brothers new house in Langhorne, PA so I was able to get to know her some away from school as well, and meet her amazing supportive and Godly family.

Almost three weeks ago on Feb. 9th I asked her for an early birthday present (Feb 10) and asked her to be my girlfriend.

She has been a huge blessing to me.  Everyday I wonder how I ended up with this very beautiful and attractive girl.  She has a huge heart for service, extremely smart, loves kids, has a great family, and also very Godly!!  Do I deserve her?  Absolutly not!  She is a gift from God and I am completely amazed that she likes a plain guy like me.

This near her house ice skating at the beginning of Christmas break.

First day as an offical couple!!  The necklace she is wearing is a
pearl necklace I got in China during Christmas break.

It doesn't snow very often in Virgina

Valentines Day!

Please pray for us.  Pray that we stay pure and that Jesus would be the center of our relationship!!

So once again it has been a few months since I last updated.  Without lying, I can honestly say that life is going quite well right now.  The week before last I went home for Thanksgiving break and was able to see a lot of family from home and some WOL friends that I don't see much anymore.  Those of you in Binghamton, I missed you.  Maybe we can get together when I drive home for Christmas?  Over break I was again reminded of what an amazing family I am blessed to have.  So many times its easy to take the blessings in your life for granted, isn't it?

Transfering to Liberty has been an adjustment.  There are as many people on campus as there are people in the town I live in, the town that neighbors me, and the next town after that, etc...  But it has been a ton of fun.  I told the leadership team on my hall last night that I was really impressed with the spiritual maturity on campus, and especially the hall.  Liberty has by far surpassed my expectations of what I thought it was going to be like.

In about a week, the semister will be over and I will on my way home for Christmas!!!  Yay!  The biggest highlight of my Christmas break is that for the second half of my break, I am going to visit my sister in China and complete my 30 hour practicum in the school she teaches in.  I am definietly looking forward to that and meeting Dave, Katie's new "friend."  However, the first half of my break will be spend at home and please pray that I don't fall into idleness of just sitting around the whole time.  A good relaxing break is good sometimes, but just plain idleness and lazyness is sin.  Many times it can lead to not doing your QT for awhile, which can then lead to sin.  How about you?  How do you normally spend your breaks?

This is a pic of my dorm and sister dorm on an apple picking adventure.  It was loads of fun!

God has shown  me a lot this past week.  I 've been going throught the book of Esther in my QT and realizing how God has an ultimate plan. Sometimes He puts people and circumstances in our life to draw us closer to Him.  He longs for us to desire Him, not just doing our daily QT just so my conscience isn't guilty for not being in the Word, but He wants to get truly intimate with Him and to fall in love with Him.

This past summer I went to a lot of friends weddings and a lot of Christian weddings read verses from Ephesians 5.  Wifes are supposed to submit to there husbands, and husbands are to love their wifes as their own body.  The fourth wedding I went to this summer I actually had the honor of being the best man.  While being that close to the bride and groom, the more of a reality it became to me that a Christian marriage is just a picture of how Christ loves us.  As the body of Christ we are engaged to Jesus.  If a man's fiance goes and cheats on him, he will feel awfall and betrayed.  However, Christ is not just our fiance, He is our Savior and He died a horrible death on the cross to pay for our sin.  When we cheat on Him by going after the pleasures of this world we are doing a whole lot more than betraying Him.  I want to live my live so pure before Him that I am a living sacrific, holy and acceptable to God, which is MY spiritual service of worship!!

What do you think?

Have you ever had one of those weeks that goes by super awesome, and it looks like the weekend is going to be even better,  but at the last moment something happens that makes your weekend one of the most depressing in awhile?  Yup, thats kinda how I feel.  But God is faithful.

School

I am currently at Liberty University!!  It makes me feel old because a lot of the people I meet that went to WOL are a lot younger than me.  Classes start tomorrow, then I am a slave to books and homework.  I am living in the dorms and I have some sweet roomates.  My roomate Justus has a projector and a really nice surround sound speaker system so we have a sweet home theater in my room.  Liberty is a cool place, but there are a lot of people here.  In the dining hall today, I had to wait in line for about 10 mins just to return my tray to the dishpit.  The line was hugemungus.
